Designed for looks and gimmicks
1 of 2 found this helpful I was attracted to this newly designed arc mouse because I own and love its predecessor.
It looks and feels silky and operates on almost any surface- so far so good.
However, its buttons need a bit of force to operate and if you don't push them at-or-near the front, they don't operate at all. This is in contrast to the very light touch required to operate the pseudo mouse wheel.
Further, the mouse wheel (pad) needs a double touch to simulate a typical middle click on a physical wheel.
Now the deal breaker - There are no back or forward buttons on this mouse and there is no way to simulate them (at least on this reviewers bluetooth version). I thought I could re-program the page-up/down touch points on the pad to do this. Microsoft's own Mouse and Keyboard Center software doesn't even acknowledge the presence of the mouse at all!
Very disappointing
