Rupes 6 Inch Yellow Microfiber Finishing Pad 9BF170XM

Rupes Yellow Microfiber
I find these pads to work well in one step polishing applications. When paired with Rupes Keramik polish, it does a good job delivering decent cut, and good gloss.
On softer paints, they tend to mar the finish, leaving a fair amount of d/a haze - especially on black finishes. Good news is that It's easily cleaned up with the same Keramik compound on the yellow foam polishing pad.
I prime these pads by applying a thin amount of polish around the vents of the pad. It ends up in the shape of a shamrock. I don't saturate them the way people do with the Meguiar's system. I reload with two or three small dots around the circumference. Most polishing is done on speed 3 or 4. Pads are easily cleaned out after every, or every other section with a pad cleaning brush, or Rupes Claw Pad Tool.
I've also used these pads with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, and M205 which worked great with them.
I like these original pads MUCH more than the new pads with the white material.
Excellent first polisher foe the beginner, but also works great in the professional setting. I've made good money with the 7424xp.
I get the most mileage from the Jescar line and Buff and Shine (Uro-fiber cutting, Uro-Tec yellow polishing) pads.
Not so effective at lower speeds, but from 3.5 and up, it's good. Most of my work is done at speed 4, and 4.5.
Super simple, super easy to use, super reliable. This could last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance.
