Old School
1 of 1 found this helpful Back in the days (1980's) when official papers were "hammered out" with type set; Brother was a life saver. The Brother WP-55 combined the ease of digital writing with the world class style of pounded typed page. "Typing" at 15 characters per second the WP-55 could produce a ten page single spaced typed paper in about nine minutes. I (re)purchased the WP-55 having produced dozens of discs of research papers. Not having the awareness to convert the discs from Brother's proprietary code to ASCII, I was facing an expensive proposition to convert them (in this day.) Extraordinarily costly; one disc would have cost about $110 to convert! I have since reprinted the documents, scanned them into my computer, and converted to PDF. Getting this Processor was a lucky break for me. Ribbons for the processor are still available; EM100. Will put this processor back up for sale when conversion process is concluded.

Limited applications
Not sure what I was thinking when I purchased this item; just checking it out, I suppose. This inexpensive laser printer burns designs into some materials. The designs need to be sparse. designs which are detail heavy do not translate well; look dark. A picture of yourself converted with sketch rendering program to remove heavy details helps a little; you can get this app for free. It takes some trial and error to become proficient with this item so make sure you have the picture or whatever design tested on paper before you attempt to burn a design into something you do not want messed up.

Flimsy build.
Used to show computer on television. Rate it average. Disconnected HDMI cable from adapter and bottom pulled out. Did not think I was being careless or rough with adapter. Bottom pulled out slightly and it did not.work after that...need to be VERY careful handling adapter when disconnecting HDMI.
