2 Rear Hatch Gas Charged Lift Support Strut For 1993-02 Chevrolet Camaro Pontiac

Mostly good some bad

The good: These shocks fit my 1995 z28 perfectly. They do the job that they were meant to do. Also, the end that attaches to the body of the car unscrews from the shock which was helpful because I installed the rubber boot wrong a couple times. The bad: the rubber boot was assembled incorrectly. I didn’t realize why the boot wouldn’t go in correctly until I looked at the assembly of the oem part and saw how it was supposed to be. Essentially the strap that is supposed to keep the boot in place was staples together backwards. After I took the boots apart and stapled it back together the correctly it all went together pretty well. After installation I noticed that one of the shocks had a small amount of oil on it. Time will tell if this was a leak or came from another source.

Buy this.

This thing works perfectly! I had my doubts because it was a reconditioned unit but we have been using and abusing it for months and it still sounds great. As a combat veteran I have serious hearing loss but with this thing I can hear everything. I am pretty sure the neighbors can too hahahaha!
