Time period car kit, country of origin to the real D Jag. Wheels align true. quality model kit.
I have a huge amount of respect for this vintage model. A time period car, and from the country of origin of the real D Jag. The kit has wheels that actually align and roll straight! Is durable, and I have to say, Merit produced fine quality models. Once again the tooling for this car kit was made about the time of the real car, so it dates back to about late 1950's or so.

In it's day in 1970's, is big, highly detailed, exciting! Milestone kit of it's time period, is where I give 5 stars!
I rate this as a product compared to other kits made during the 1970's. In it's day, this was a most impressive and detailed fun model kit. Absolutely one of the greats! Molded in Dark Olive with some inner parts molded in Metallic Blue and some In Silver, this was a box of pure fun! Detail abounds, big, exciting , many parts and accurate for it's day. A milestone kit from Bandai, as was their 1/24 Zero and some others! I highly value as a vintage item, but I think this has been reissued, and I am still not sure of any changes(?). How well this stands up to the demands of the present day builder would be a personal choice. No upper wheel well detail was included, and many of the cockpit parts would have to be redone or scratch built, is my understanding. It is what it is. In the day Bandai really tried when they produced this kit!

Overlapping modern day film, with great vintage racing footage and related toy ads a real treat!
I loved this movie, and I always highly value the real vintage footage used in the making of this film!
