    Cheap battery does well enough
So far it last for 1.5 - 2 hours per charge. I'm not sure how that compared with a new factory battery but for $13.00 it's great!

Great value but keep to smaller motorized devices.
Have been testing this over about three weeks now. I have pushed it to around 2000 watts so far and it is fine. I tried starting my 15A (1,800 watt) miter saw yesterday. With nothing else connected I was surprised to see my saw startup....slowly....but it did it. I would be afraid to try actually cutting anything but small trim boards, and only after letting the blade spin up to a high speed. However, this unit can run both of my small freezers at the same time! If a compressor in a freezer has just shut off and then I plug it into this inverter the compressor will NOT start up after buzzing a bit. I think it is because of the high back-pressure that remains in the freon line makes the compressor have to work much harder. However if I leave the freezer plugged in and come check a few minutes later I always find the freezer running just fine. When I've left the freezer plugged into this inverter over 24 hours or longer and check the temperature occasionally it is always good. So, it seems when it's allowed to cycle on and off normally it starts just fine. I also was able to run a 6,000 BTU window air conditioner. Startup might have been a little slow but it definitely got up to speed and was cooling normally! My LG window unit uses about 500 watts while running. I think this window unit has a "soft start" feature to keep vibration/noise to a minimum, and I think that also might reduce the surge of current at startup. I think for the price it's a great value. Just be sure you plan to run only smaller inductive loads. My 2 freezers run at about 110 watts and 85 watts, so even a 10x surge of either is well within the 3000 watt rating. And make SURE you use wire that is thick enough from your batteries to the inverter! This is critical for any inverter! I'm currently (and temporarily for testing purposes) using 2 gauge from a massive battery bank it really isn't heavy enough for 3,000 watts on the AC side. For my permanent install I'll upgrade to at least 2/0 (or "00") cables to minimize the voltage drop. If I can get 4/0 ("0000") welding cable (very flexible, easier to work with but expensive) I'll go with it.

    Money Saver
I needed a low power PC to leave ON all the time to receive faxes. I had been leaving my main PC ON 24/7 but decided it used too much power. I'm in "tier 3" all the time with ny SoCal power company. My electric bill drooped $50.00 the first month I had this ECS AMD board online and kept my main PC off when not using it. At this rate I'll pay for the board, mini-ITX case, power block, PicoPSU and external WiFi antenna kit in 3 months (I had spare RAM and an SSD on hand). This little guy might save me $600 per year. I wouldn't play action games on it but it's fine for browsing online, word processing, etc. Next step is to put up a few solar panels and a 12v battery and run the thing completely off the grid. The PicoPSU uses a 12v input so is ideal for solar powering.
