An absolute masterpiece.
This film, while not for everyone, is an absolute masterpiece of cinema. A brilliant adaptation of Jerzy Kosinski's notorious novel from 1965, about a young boy surviving alone during the Holocaust. Striking black and white cinematography, strong performances, and expert direction that goes to very dark places, but always within limits of taste. This blu ray looks fantastic, is Region Free, and has many different subtitle options. Some very interesting bonus content, too. Again, a very dark and strong film, but amazingly well done, and highly recommended for the adult, mature, prepared viewer.
