rockin output tubes for my line magnetic dac
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought these because they are supposed to be top of the line. I can absolutely attest that tube museam delivers the goods. These are the finest tubes available for their purpose and tube museam delivers high quality on them. The only downside is $250 per matched pair is a little stiff, but a total retube on my amp is northwards of 3k, so 250 for a dac is pretty much chump change to me. To others it may be a significant expense and not worth the money.
They blew away the line magnetic (chinese made) tubes that came with the dac when i rolled it dramatically. Note I also replaced a rectifier so that could have had something to do with it.
My dealer said he wouldn't put such expensive tubes in a dac, until he heard it at my house and then installed some he had kicking around in his lm dac :) So take that fwiw :) He is a true professional btw.
