Good smaller pump
We had a Laguna 1500 that died after about 5-7 years (impeller shaft broke), and I got this slightly smaller one to save energy. It doesn’t quite put out the same volume as the 1500, but it’s pretty close. We have a stream that has about a 4-5 foot lift from collecting pond to the biofilter above the stream.

Handy tube form
This is the same Goop in big tube-gun form, which has several advantages over the stuff that comes in the smaller tubes. It’s cheaper per ounce, and (at least in my experience) doesn’t dry out as fast when sitting on the shelf after opening. Plus, it’s much easier to get the last little bit of Goop out when the tube’s almost empty, and you don’t have to wrestle with an increasingly mucked-up little black cap- I usually grab an appropriately sized (large) wire nut and screw it tightly over the end of the opened large tube, and this seems to keep the air out (and the remaining Goop liquid) at least as well as the little black cap in the smaller tubes.
