Read this review and save yourself some aggravation!
1 of 2 found this helpful I gave 1 star only because it came with incorrect screws and caused me a lot of extra work...the product itself is good.
I am writing this review to hopefully save people from the same aggravation I had with this product.
So let me be clear right up front,,,the hood trim piece itself is good, no issues with the actual trim piece.
The problem is with the screws that were included with the trim piece. It is obvious that whoever selected the screws for this product has no clue how the installation actually works.
Warning: If you have purchased this part to replace an OEM part please be sure to save the screws and nuts that you remove from the OEM piece, otherwise you are screwed...no pun intended.
The problem is that there are rectangular shaped plastic pieces on the back of the trim piece and the OEM screws have a rectangular head that slides in the plastic piece and it holds the screw in place...and that works fine. However, the screws that came with this replacement part have a round head...see the problem??? Since the screws were already installed I did not see this until I already had it partially installed and realized the screw was turning and could not be tightened completely but then it was too late. The plastic nuts were so tight they would not come back off and it was almost impossible to get even super thin needle nose pliers on the screw so I could remove the nuts.
Fast forward...Got it back off, put original screws in and all is good, but what a pain!
Moral of the story...save the original screws and nuts.
