Real characters from history.
The language is off-putting. The language is most likely accurate. Mostly men. Whiskey. Few rules and fewer women at the beginning. A wild west men's locker room without public education or PBS. Season One is the best––with remarkable characters––from Wild Bill to an ailing preacher.

Star powered Noir in front and in back of the camera.
1 of 1 found this helpful Kubrick and Sterling Hayden––need I say more. Has that lovely, halted Noir quality of storytelling and tempo. And the transfer from Criterion is amazing. Classic heist film.

Feeding Gratitude.
A quiet, lovely film about doing your very best regardless of circumstances. A period piece focusing on the best chef in Paris who is forced to abondon her life and career in the face of political upheaval. What made her great in Paris makes her a 'GIFT' in a poor village in Jutland––a dwindling religious community accostomed to threadbare living––unable or willing to recognize who or what is in their midst. But God sends a military GENERAL to chow down and speak up.
