Just not working
0 of 2 found this helpful I tried out setting my new Kreg tool for use with my circular saw, just to get some experience before a big project. It truly is the most annoying jig, which requires you to have 3 if not 4 hands to operate to set this thing.
For starters, to reach the blade with the movable stop, the first step in determining the exact cut line, you have to keep your (spring-loaded) blade gard in the up position. While using one hand for that you have to slide the stop against the blade, and try to tighten the screw. None of this contributes to an accurate positioning, which means you're either going to miss the mark, or, cut of part of your stop during the first cut.
I am an experienced DIYer, and recommend any cheap, lockable clamp guide over this contraption.

Seems good. Give it a try and share your findings!
I'm a longtime aquarist, but first time user of this product after much research and comparison. I'm using it in my AquaClear hob filter, on a 20 G planted Amazon tank with yellow water from almond leaves etc. It does live up to the claim that it does not filter out the tannins/color, which is why I got it in the first place. It did take much longer and a double dose of it for the water to become totally clear, but that's the trade off with Carbon I guess. No algae development, so that's good and as advertised. I remain ever so slightly sceptical of whether this product really works, but for now no negatives. I'll keep using and monitoring the product.
