X-10 is great for home automation

There are different modules that can be individually addressed and controlled. There are lamp modules and appliance modules like this one.
You can set-up motion detector modules and have them turn on a lamp when you walk into a room.
X10 has been around for a long time and works great

Nice strong back scratcher
This has a metal hand screwed into a wood handle. Unlike plastic ones, you can use this solid scratcher to be able to scratch out those back itches

Works well and easy to clean up
This chalk works great on ants. It contians the same posions as Raid and other ant sprays, but the chalk form has no smell and wipes up afterwards with just some water on a paper towel. HOWEVER - Do Not Keep this in households with children as some have ate it.

Ant chalk, also known as Chinese chalk or 'Miraculous Insecticide Chalk', is an insecticide in the form of normal looking chalk. It contains the pesticides deltamethrin and cypermethrin.
Controversy
While the active ingredients are legal in the United States, the chalk is no longer legal there for a number of reasons including alleged child poisonings reported while the chalk was legal, packaging that frequently does not conform to lead content standards, and inadequate safety labeling.
Despite its illegal status, 'Chinese Chalk' is still imported from China and sold in Chinatowns in the United States. Worldwide, the product remains very popular due to its effectiveness in rapidly controlling crawling household insect infestations without fumes, foul smells or sticky toxic residues, and its relatively low overall toxin content compared to other insecticides.
