After ordering this item on January 16th and it being lost in the USPS system until January 30 when it finally started moving, I blamed the seller and left a negative review. I was wrong, the seller was totally in the right and I overreacted. My sincere apology to the seller, USPS was to blame, NOT the seller. I wish I knew how to go back and delete or change the review so seller's reputation isn't harmed.

Kimber 3" Ultra Recoil Spring Assembly 9mm 4000466

Needed for a Colt Defender

I have a Kimber Ultra and recently purchased a Colt Defender, both are chambered in 9mm. When cleaning the Colt Defender for the first time, I could not get the slide stop pin back in, no matter how I tried. I have owned 1911s ever since Vietnam, so this was puzzling to me. Went to u-tube and found several videos describing the same problem I was having. The Defender recoil spring assembly back plate wobbles and moves to make lining it up on reassembly almost impossible. The suggestion was to replace it with a Kimber recoil assembly that had a backplate that was solidly attached. I took the recoil spring out of my Kimber Ultra and it worked perfectly in the new Defender, so this new recoil spring assembly to go back in my Kimber Ultra. It works perfectly!
