Excellent protection for your cards
1 of 1 found this helpful I had been using paper protective covers for my cards because my work environment is extremely dirty and my card's magnetic strips got damaged over time. Once I needed new ones I opted for these metallic covers because they are sturdy and prevent scan theft. A bit fiddly getting the cards in and out of the sleeves but well worth the extra effort.

Good Choice for NAS and Storage Uses.
Western Digital Red drives are designed to run cool and continuously. These are not fast drives but they are fast enough to populate storage devices such as NAS enclosures. They are made to run cooler than faster drives to increase their life span and reliability. These are also a good solution for internal storage on computers. I would not recommend these as a boot drive for your OS although it would work. I've had good luck with these so far and find them reasonably priced. If you want a storage drive or multiple drives to populate a NAS these should be on your short list.

Good drive, decent price
This drive seems to function perfectly in my NAS. How reliable it is we will see in the future, hopefully the distant future. It is quiet. It is a 7200 RPM drive and runs about 5° C hotter than the previous drive did, from 31° up to 36°, so not bad during idle.
