Better than Bluetooth

I use these to avoid disturbing others while watching TV. Bluetooth had to be avoided owing to poor range, latency and too much boom. These headphones have none of these problems & are clearly better than any similarly priced Bluetooth options. My only gripe is that it's a bit fiddly to park the headphones on the dock for charging.

Good value sound base

I used to listen to TV sound via my hi-fi but this was to be moved to a different room so I needed something to improve the unlistenable sound produced by the TV itself. I ruled out soundbars as the larger size of a soundbase must be beneficial for bass frequencies. A soundbar with added woofers was not acceptable owing to the additional space required. I chose the Goodmans purely from online reviews & the price. An important feature is a bass control as, being a small unit, bass boom could be a problem. There is bass boom but it can be eliminated by cutting the bass, the resulting bass is acceptable. My hi-fi cost more than 10 times the cost of this soundbase so a sound quality comparison would be unfair. However, the sound quality is fine for TV, bluetooth and MP3s. It is not hi-fi, how can it be at such a low price, so I would not recommend for CD or vinyl. A well built, solid piece of kit with all the facilities you need, excellent sound quality at the price.
