Does not and won't work for P bass

Be advised this nut is **NOT** a direct replacement for Fender or Fender style Precision bass. This nut is twice as thick (or more) as the stock nut. You will need to perform *extensive* modifications to the product to replace a Fender style nut. I'll keep it because it's not worth the hassle of returning it. Maybe some day I'll be able to use it for something. Again be reminded this WILL NOT FIT A P BASS.
