A lot of functionality & options. Setup was not too bad.
This is a replacement for the old Hunter Pro-C controller. It was priced better than the HPC (Face panel upgrade of Pro-C). Both offer wifi, but the HC-1200 requires rewiring to install. Wifi is great. No more need for Roam remotes (sorry Roam owners). Remotely activate zones for adjustments, leak checks & servicing. I have not had chance to evaluate the predictive watering adjustments through the Hydrawise S/W. This unit receives weather updates to adjust your set watering schedule, if enabled. You can upgrade & participate in community weather report with other local users to get me more accurate data. The S/W keeps reports to show water savings. This unit can accommodate 2 sensors. For example: rain & evaporative sensors could determine all irrigation needs for your lawn (not too much, not too little. Or try your hand at a schedule tailored by you. So far, pretty good. I'm enjoying exploring all its capabilities. The mobile version of the Hydrawise app does have an annoying feature than others have memtioned. The back button on your device will close the app rather than return to the previous screen. This is why 4 of 5 from me.
