Miracle on 34th Street

It's a classic!

Maureen O'Hara in her youth was stunning as personnel manager, Doris Walker. Edmund Gwenn was delightful as Santa Claus. John Payne was the likable attorney, Fred Gailey, romantic interest for O'Hara, and a good friend to Santa Claus. And Natalie Wood was a cute and remarkably bearable child actress playing Doris's daughter, Susan. The movie was shot in black and white in 1947 (though there is now a colorized version), and it has the slightly farcical feel of the comedies of its day. It's a must-watch movie for Christmas, in our household.
