I love this phone
I bought different phones looking to help me with my severe hearing loss. The Clarity XL40D phone gave me a clear sound when talking to someone and had a higher volume setting than I needed. I would set the volume on low and that was enough. But it didn't ring loud enough for me. So I bought two different phone ringer amplifiers and they didn't help me. Now I just got the Clarity Alto 54005.001 phone. Wow, it rings loud and without using any ringer amplifiers. I'm only using half the volume for the ringer. Now I can hear the phone ring when I'm in another room. And yes it gives me a clear sound when talking to someone with a higher volume setting than I need. The volume sound for talking may be a little clearer than the Clarity XL40D phone but it's hard to tell for sure. They both clear. I wish I had the Clarity Alto 54005.001 phone years ago.

Gave a 4 rating because of the ringer.
I have this phone and I have over 50% hearing loss. I like the Bright Ring Flasher with an incoming call. I also like the volume control which lets the incoming voice go up much louder than I need. I have the volume set on low, which is all I need. The only problem I have with the phone is the ringer. It is not the type of sound that I need to hear very well. I need the old bell sound.

Temperature Adjustment

I like this thermometer but it is slow changing the temperature when moving from one place to another. I bought two. The reason I bought them was because I was able to adjust the temperature setting by tapping the metal bracket sideways, that holds the spring, located in the back of the thermostat. One of the thermometer was OK but the other one was off about 2 degrees.
