Quality Audio Connection
I used this splitter for a pair of headphones that had a cord without a in line mic but it would cut out too easily. I knew the cord with the inline mic worked fine for devices like my cell phone. I can't speak much to the quality of the mic connection but I did get some sign of the sound being received on my computer. I have an older desktop that has two separate inputs; one for mic and one for headphones. The headphone sound quality out of it is great and these headpnones were about $150.00 when I bought them refurbished. Since then I have used them for sport earbuds, inline microphone, with my MP3 player as well.

Used As a Tether With 2 Locks
I was able to make a plastic ammo can with 2 holes for locks into a lock box , something that cannot be easily walked off with. Each loop is attached to luggage locks in an indoor environment. The middle is wrapped around a middle section of a small work bench. The vinyl it is wrapped in is smooth. The steel ends next to the loops are well wrapped which I like. I plan to purchase another as of writing this.

Good For The Most Part
It works very good, I use it to boot Linux on a 500GB hard disk drive. I don’t have a SSD in there so I haven’t tested the speed very much, most likely plenty fast for that. The cable that comes with it is a bit short. While it is thick, it isn’t a good use case for a desktop PC that is vertical. I use a USB hub to extend the distance so that it can lay flat. If you are using this with a laptop on a table this is very good for that use case. The rounded back bottom edges were a little too snug so I left it slightly elevated. Tool-less installation of a drive if it isn’t in there too tight to the bottom.
