Lighter, enjoyable retelling of the young life of Marie Antoinette.
Although I bought this in order to see Jamie Dornan's role as Count Ferson, I found this version of the story of Marie Antoinette to be a lighter, enjoyable retelling of the basic facts. It made me realize just how young she was at the time of her marriage. The story stays pretty true to the actual facts and time line of her life. It is believed that she did have an affair with Count Ferson although there are no supporting papers or diaries. I thought the movie ending was consistent with the tone of the rest of the movie. Bittersweet but not violent and depressing.

Nice mix of mystery, love and humor.
1 of 1 found this helpful I really enjoyed this final season of The Mentalist. The shorter story arcs were a refreshing change after so many seasons of Red John. This season also showcased the abilities of Simon Baker to portray Patrick Jane at his most vulnerable. I loved how several previous story lines were closed. I only wish it had been a full season - not a partial one.
