Very pleasant smell, and ideal for pale skin!
It's got a very nice, sweet, feminine fragrance, and the texture of it is thin enough to spread a small quantity evenly. The only real downside I can find is that after it dries, it sort of clumps or peels on your skin, especially if you scratch yourself- get an itch, and you'll see globs of pale brown lotion under your nails. It's not a problem for me because I just shower a few hours after tanning, but if you were planning on going somewhere directly after, you might find it bothersome.
The bronzing aspect surpassed my expectations- I was worried it would be a quick, blotchy, orange tan like so many self-tanners. This product seems lighter and more build-able. I didn't notice a difference the first time I used it, but now, three tans later, I can see the difference.
I really like Duchess, and while I'm still searching for the perfect tanning lotion, this one didn't disappoint me at all.

A great, darker shade excellent for paler girls!
I'm fairly pale, and darker purple/berry shades tend to make me look ill. This color looks darker in the tube than it is on your lips- it's more of a blue-tinted 'red wine stain' color, flecked with very fine glitter. It looks more natural than might be expected from the dramatic color pre-application. I borrowed the mini size of Jane from my sister, and knew immediately I was going to need a full size tube. This is my second time purchasing this particular color, and while I have a few other Buxom shades, this is the one I come back to the most often. I'm a pale, freckly redhead, and it's perfect for either a natural look with just foundation/concealer, or I put a berry lipstick underneath for an evening face. I love it! Totally recommended for pale girls who look a bit washed out in darker shades.
