WARNING: DO NOT BUY ONE WITHOUT CONFIRMING THAT YOU ARE TRULY GETTING A STAGED PUMP. THIS IS NOT A STAGED PUMP.
9 of 10 found this helpful This is not a 5 stage pump.... it has no stages at all.... it is a progressive cavity pump.
How do I know? well, after I plumbed it in and primed it, I ran it for less than 5 minutes by building up pressure until the cut-out switch cut in. Then turned on tap to release pressure until pump cuts back in......did this 3 times to check operation of pump and then it broke.
Opened up pump to discover that it was in fact not a 5 stage pump but rather it was a progressive cavity pump, with a stator and a rotor, with the rubber mount that holds the rotor having seperated/broke away from the rotor.
Whilst it was running, it had great pressure.... that is the only good thing about it....
WARNING: DO NOT BUY ONE WITHOUT CONFIRMING THAT YOU ARE TRULY GETTING A STAGED PUMP. not worth the money.
