Better than HEPA in many ways

And its versatility in being able to function horizontally and vertically is truly a blessing for those that don't have table top space for another gizmo. I have read some poor reviews regarding the Truman Cell technology, but it does have the ability to remove particles smaller than a fresh HEPA filter can. Particles that can lodge deepest in the lungs. So it may not be as efficient as HEPA for a single pass through the electronic precipitator , but over time it will clean the air of ultrafine smoke and the tiniest particulate matter. This passes right through a HEPA filter and remains as a dirty fog in a room serviced by HEPA filtration only. Final bonus is that there is there is virtually no restriction to air movement through a Truman Cell, which means the technology is virtually silent. The highly restrictive nature of HEPA filtration means larger fan motors consuming more electricity. And HEPA air purifiers will always be noisier because of the motor strain and pressure difference across the filter.
