General introduction to the subject.
The book is more of a general introduction to the subject, with theory, and not a "How To - DIY" type book, with projects, etc. I suppose one would need to get a book suited to a specific type of machine, such as a lathe, milling machine, etc.if needing to learn how from scratch.
