Spyderco Ikuchi updated version
This version solves the CQI problems.
It is a slim pocket knife, less bulky than some. This has a thin blade with flat grind. The opening mechanism is different than other Spyderco models and will take a little practice and strength in the index finger.
There is a notch at the ricasso that I do not care for because it interferes with cutting cord or other materials that may catch in that spot. Perhaps the design was to make for more ease in sharpening. It will take some attention when cutting to avoid snagging on the material in that region of the blade.

Top Shelf Knife
The H-1 steel is the only known material to be completely stain resistant. All steels rust, stain resistant steels much slower than carbon steel. This steel does not oxidize. Originally designed as a marine environment blade.
It is easy to sharpen, however edge holding is quite durable. The H-1 steel tends to deform if abused (not recommended) but it does not chip out. The serrated edge is very efficient and effective cutting most any material.
I bought this blade to try both the steel and the serrated grind. I am not disappointed. I've used this daily to make feather sticks and shavings to light a wood stove. I have plain edge knives that I like for that job, but I am impressed. I have only stropped (one side only) this and it is still sharp.

Spyderco Baby Jess Horn
This is about as close to a "gentlemen's knife" as Spyderco has ever got. It is a smallish knife but not as small as they have in their line. It is a narrower blade than their usual leaf shapes. It fits inside a pocket rather than depending on the clip. Good steel and a back lock, very strong.
