APEX 460 MULTI PATTERN TUBE MICROPHONE
2 of 2 found this helpful The "Studio Reviews" site ran a lab test comparing the Apex 460 (average Ebay price $199) to the Telefunken R-F-T M16 (around $1400) and found they are the exact same microphone!!! The only difference: cosmetics and price. Nady and a few other companies have also marketed this product. It's absolutely astounding that a mic this good can be had for so little money. One suggestion: Replace the stock tube in the Apex with a 6072. It'll make a significant difference. See the test results at: http://www.studioreviews.com/m16-460.htm
