Hey there, I'm Helen Sharkey, the brains behind this cozy quilt shop with huge ambitions!
I've been sewing and cross-stitching all things cute since I was about 10 years old. Thanks to my mom's crafty teachings, my love for stitching took off like a shooting star. I'm all about exploring new sewing tricks, experimenting with different fabrics, and trying my hand at pattern-making (or at least giving it a good ol' go!). Oh, and fun fact - my very first mini cross-stitch creation of a dinosaur from '89 still proudly sits atop my sewing basket lid.
After decking out all my loved ones with my crafty creations, I realized it was time to share my passion with the world, nudged along by my supportive hubby. Speaking of, we've been a team for almost 15 years and have a cool 19-year-old son.
By day, I'm a Clinical Nurse Manager at the local hospital's wound care clinic, but by night (and weekends too!), I'm living my dream of providing top-notch quilting goodies to my awesome customers.

I would buy this book again. RECOMMEND!
I bought this book to prepare for the NLN pre-entrance exam. I have been studying the book for a couple of months now. I have not taken the test yet, so it is hard for me to review this book based on that. it seems to be thorough. What I like most about the book is how many practice tests there are. You can take one, then study and take another to see where you are. Figuring out your weaknesses and strengths is pretty easy with this book.
