Awesome light modifier
As a retired portrait and fashion photographer I used to shoot my white lightning strobes through a white translucent umbrella to get the look I wanted. to serve the same purpose and maybe a better solution to get the quality of light I wanted. I use soft boxes and I use umbrellas, and this modifies the light somewhere in between the look of both. I can't say these are built like a tank because are not. But they are cheap enough compared to a soft box solution. I prefer the more rounded catch light in the eyes. I use two of them one on each side of the model with a foam core flat on a stool in front of them to make the eyes pop. Sometimes the best tool for the job is not very expensive. Why spend so much on toy cameras when you can buy a Tank for much less.
yes, yes and yes. classic built pro Nikon tank. I'e dropped these accidendly on concrete. the lenses might break.... but this wont grow a scratch.
