Good Ice machine for the money
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this to replace a broken ice machine. This fit the space and makes Ice quicker and stores more than my old kitchen aid under counter model. The manual is not written very well and is in broken English, but hook up is pretty basic. The supplied water supply and drain lines are set to Chinese stand and not US standards, ie 3mm supply to 1/4 inch American. They do supply you with quick connect fittings that seen light duty but work. The 3mm fitting will thread on to a 1/2npt so you have to get adapters to reduce it to 1/4 inch. The drain is a light duty plastic designed to be slipped in place with out any clamps. It was about a foot short for my application so I had to add another piece to it. It leaked when clamped but with some form a gasket the supplied rubber reducer and a new connector it drains fine. The instructions tell you to use the supplied hoses.
As for value, so far this is an ice making machine, and the storage bin keeps ice much longer than my old machine would so it doesn't have to make ice as often. The temperature gauge usually stays around 16 or 18 degrees.
My only suggestions would be to update the manual so it actually makes sense, and to ship it with 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch fittings directly to the Icemaker for the US market

water filter
this was easy to install, 1/4 inch lines simply push into place. Filter itself is a quarter turn to swap out and should last for a year. Much better than an in line filter since you never have to touch the water lines again.
