Great system, tons of games to choose from, can't go wrong!
I bought my first gamecube back when they were the newest system Nintendo had, no kids in the house but I enjoyed that system so much. I sold it a few years ago and regretted it the minute I did.
Now my 4 year old son is getting into playing games and I just bought him a Gamecube for Christmas. He has problems with coordination and motor skills so the Wii is hard for him, but he has mastered the GC controller perfectly. And since the Wii does play GC games, I can always use any games he gets on the Wii too.
There are plenty of kid friendly games to choose from, but also games like Zelda and Mario for adults and so many others.
