Fallout 4 (Microsoft Xbox One, 2015) No case
    Dec 17, 2015
Fallout 4 - Pretty much same old same old. SLIGHTLY more features than New Vegas, but otherwise no real differences.
Other than some minor changes in features, like setting up supply caravans between your established settlements and directing a very limited number of NPCs to assist, the gameplay is almost identical. Different location, with a new main character back-story, but even the music is the same as in Fallout 3. I'm a huge fan of the Fallout series and this is certainly an improvement over New Vegas, but if it weren't for the new more-powerful Xbox One, I think even the graphics would even be the same. If you're not chomping at the bit, I'd recommend waiting for a huge ($20 or more) price drop.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Microsoft Xbox, 2003) Complete

They just don't mak'em like they used to...
I played this game on an original Xbox when it first came out, and loved it. An actual RPG in the Star Wars Universe, where virtually every decision you make influenced either Light Side or Dark Side alliance. Certainly, todays games feature better graphics, but few storylines are as compelling or well told. The game developers caught my attention when they decided to release this game for tablets, hopefully to determine if developing a new SW-RPG for this generation of consoles would gain any traction. This time around, I played it on my Xbox 360. While some of the game's original features were no longer available (the 360 does not allow download of previously purchased DLC for original Xbox) it was still worth the replay. I'm really hoping that Disney and Bioware can get together and develop a single player RPG set in the Star Wars Universe for players who are either sick of, or simply don't like the multi-player PVP crap that eventually ruined The Old Republic online MMO. Who knows, if they decide not to develop a new game for Star Wars Universe fans, I may wind up playing this one again in another 8 years.
