Better than expected
PROS: easy to empty-easy to carry-uses standard 1.25 inch diameter attachments-versatile-uses same battery as my other dewalt tools-good suction for a hand held vacuum-decent battery run time
CONS: does not come with any attachments-No on-board tool storage-no “blower” option like many shop vacs have-exhaust blows out the sides and often blows around the stuff you are trying to vacuum up( found a remedy for this on e bay)-on/off switch is in a goofy spot and sometimes gets bumped while vacuuming
OVERALL, this is a nice little vacuum for around the house quick cleanups and will be nice for the camper too. More than likely, I would purchase another one. It’s definitely better than my wife’s dust buster!

Worth the $$
I have not used this tool during a fire or rescue yet but seems like a very good tool overall. PROS: folds flat and fits easily in pocket of bunker pants or could be hung with a key ring and carabiner from a belt or tool loop, durable construction, reflective stripe, magnetic, fairly easy to deploy even with gloved hands. CONS: in the doors I have tried it on so far, the door must be open at least 90 degrees in order to get hook over the hinge(some of the doors of my house would not do this because of different types of construction and trim work), lacking some versatility(does not work as a wedge-type door chock at the bottom of doors), does not work on all doors. As a volunteer firefighter, I will be carrying this tool as well as a wedge-type chock in my turnouts to be prepared for different situations but would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing a door held open!

6AH Didn’t last as long as 5AH battery
In my Dewalt leaf blower test, my 4 year old (used monthly) Dewalt OEM 5AH lasted for
17.5 minutes. This supposedly 6AH battery lasted ONLY 16.5 minutes. You be the judge, is that extra minute of run time worth the extra price to buy OEM? (Maybe the run time difference would be more if we compared an OEM 6AH to this 6AH.) I would just as soon have a couple extra batteries.
However, the longevity of this battery is untested (I’ll get back to you in four years and let you know how it holds up!)
Overall, these batteries are probably a good value and will more than likely buy again. I gave it three stars because I don’t believe it performed as good as it should but the price was lower.
UPDATE: the batteries seem to be holding a charge similar to what the OEM batteries do BUT, after using them in all my other Dewalt tools these batteries seem to have a more snug fit in the tools and often requires two hands to remove them whereas the OEM batts usually slide in and out easily with one hand.
