Read it if you realize the author is biased against America.
The author is biased against Americans, makes them look as bad as the Nazi's when they liberated Europe and the concentration camps. This is not at all true. The author is from Germany and takes a very prejudiced viewpoint of America, not realizing that if America had not helped win the war against the Nazi's Germany would have been in a very bad situation. I understand that the German people suffered throughout the war and many did not support Hitler. The author makes that clear. But when the Americans came in to liberate the people, they did not abuse their prisoners as depicted in this novel. The author needs a history lesson.
