Solid craftsmenship
Well designed and built tool. Only drawback is that all the folding features are quite stiff to unfold from the closed position... which is still better than being too loose and falling open by accident. Would not recommend as a gift for anyone with brittle or short fingernails, or arthritis.

One minor detail keeps it from being a good knife/tool.
Solid spike, decent blade, good grip texture. Unfortunately the unlocking mechanism which in the photo resembles a lanyard ring; DOES NOT fold out of the way. So you have an awkward piece of metal jutting out from the otherwise closed handle making for awkward pocket carry.

TruSpec could provide a better description and ovrrall product for the asking price.
I purchased this vest as a less obvious conceal carry and utility vest option to many of the standard khaki versions that are available which can sometimes convey even to the lay person that the wearer is likely carrying a weapon. Strictly speaking as to it concealing my wearing a side arm, cuffs, small baton, and spare mag for casual office days with out drawing attention; it succeeds. As to its functionality to carry the other every day work tools such as cell phone, note pad, pen, business cards and the like; it is a fail. The (only) two pockets barely close with my work issued phone in one, and do not easily allow a standard note pad and pen in the other. Also, I was greatly disappointed to find that for what TruSpec is asking for this vest; it is little more than a standard military summer weight BDU with no sleeves and two pockets. It would greatly benefit from having interior pockets, two external pen slots separate from the external chest pockets (which could be slightly larger), hand pockets at the waist, and even maybe a tab for a lapel mic to clip to. Magnet closures instead of Velcro could be a good upgrade aswell.
