G&L Tribute ASCARI GT-90 Electric Guitar Tobacco Sunburst GT90 P90 New

Sounds great, Plays great.

I am rating this guitar on a value per dollar basis, which I think is a fair way to do it. The bad: Out of the box, the fret ends were not good. Very sharp and uncomfortable, which was surprising to me given that the neck is bound. That's it for the bad. The good: $299 delivered was an insane price. Too good to pass up. I am pretty skilled with a fret file, so I spent about 30 minutes cleaning them up and now it' good to go. The guitar feels great and I love the P90 sound. Took it to a gig on Saturday night and it worked fantastic on various types of tunes. Country, classic rock, no heavy metal because we just aren't into that type of music. I could have used it for that, had I wanted to. It is also a great looking instrument. I have several G&L's and this one fits right in with the rest. No regrets on any of them.

Simple, Versatile, Reliable

I gig with my Bandit all the time. Used to gig with tube amps, but I came to a couple of realizations: the average listener can't tell the difference between tube amps and solid state amps, nor do they really care, and solid state amps are lighter, cheaper, and more reliable. This amp is particularly good because it really sounds great and can take a beating. It is also plenty loud enough to serve as a stage monitor while the line out works great in the system. Also, because they are cheap enough, I can own two. One for the house and one to keep over at the practice location. No carrying back and forth. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this amp. I recommend it all the time.
