Exact Replacement Switch
Looks to be an exact replacement on my TS-251U. Some reviewers have indicated how difficult it was to take the old screws out. Apparently, on mine it was corrosion at the terminals that made a couple of them really tight. A drop of penetrant helped. Everything I read said the switch would help the brake work better. It didn't hurt but the brake still doesn't always engage immediately. The other suggestion is to replace the brushes. So, I have these on order. I figured spending $45 on a thirty year old saw that is otherwise working fine is worth the gamble. Thirty years ago a miter saw was considered a big step up over a circular saw. Today they've become much more sophisticated. Most recently I built a 12' x 16' barn shed so this saw has paid for itself many times over. My kids will sell it for ten bucks when I'm gone.

Robust Tool Rests Are The Best
Robust makes the best tool rests. The hardened rod doesn't nick or scratch. The 1" standard shaft fits the banjo on my 1642 Jet lathe. The J-shape makes getting into bowls easy. I bought this elsewhere for less.

Excellent Toolrest
Excellent tool rest for bowl turning. I like the hardened rod that doesn't nick or get dinged for smooth tool sliding. The shape seems to just fit quite well into a number of bowl shapes. I got a better price elsewhere.
