Good Multifunction Android powered Webcam/Rearview Mirror

Both the front and rear view cameras provide good quality images/videos, (in fair lighting conditions), and the additional capabilities as an Android device with Apps, (even Youtube... etc.), the built-in GPS for real time navigation, WiFi, Bluetooth, SIM and memory cards options are pretty compelling.
With a memory card (up to 64GB) the device simultaneously records and stores videos from both front and back cameras which can be quite useful for insurance purposes.in case of accidents.
By plugging in a SIM card the device can even be used as a phone, get internet connection -depending on the SIM provider plan- and even become a hot spot for other devices in the car. Otherwise, it can connect by WiFi to your phone and use all Android features.
Another nice thing about the device is that, if you prefer, it can be switched off and then it will just operate like a normal optical rear view mirror. Even if off however, it is still better at minimizing blind spots than original OEM mirrors because it is wider.
Unfortunately the hardware is underpowered and therefore calling up Google maps, Waze, or launching any applications is quite slow.
Despite these shortcomings however I'm generally very pleased with the device which has allowed me to replace the rearview camera on my KIA Cadenza (for less than 30% of the price of the repair). It greatly improved vision in blind spot and gives me always accurate up to date maps, (rather than having to buy overpriced new maps from KIA).
Note: because of the screen size, using it to display navigation maps and simultaneously camera fed rear view mirror, is not quite practical. So I normally set it to display just as rearview mirror because navigations directions can be heard over the radio (by setting the right frequency on your car radio).
To sum up, the concept of this Android WebCam/Rearview Mirror is good and if the manufacturer will ever come up with a newer faster hardware and possibly 4k cameras as well I would certainly consider buying it. The cables (which is the most laborious part of the installation) are already installed and so it would be just a question of popping in the new unit.
