Only strings I will ever use
1 of 1 found this helpful I've been using Elixir strings for 15 years now. I was always an electric player and have always been amazed with the sound, feel, and durability of Elixir electric guitar strings. Over the course of the past year or so, I have been playing solely acoustic with my Washburn Rover travel guitar. I initially tried the 80/20 ultra light gauge strings and those sounded and felt amazing, but after using the phosphor bronze ultra light strings, I'm in heaven on my little guitar. It feels like an electric and the sound is very bright. Sounds wonderful with my Black Tusq nut, saddle, and bridge pins. Killer combo. Elixir for life!

2nd to MSR
0 of 1 found this helpful Out of the 3 I demoed- MSR, Coleman, and Coghlan's, these rank 2nd to MSR. They're a little big, but do their intended job and are still light. I use these to stake my guylines on my MLD Duomid.

WOW. JUST WOW.
After installing this and the traditional Black Tusq bridge pins on my Washburn Rover, it came ALIVE. I cannot begin to describe the feeling and sound since doing that. I installed the Black Tusq bridge saddle a couple of days later and the whole combo is just incredible. It didn't take very long to sand them down to the proper fit and well worth the hour or so I spent doing that on them. They look great, too. I was getting tired of the same boring cream colored parts and these hit the spot. The string spacing was totally off from the factory nut on this guitar, but I just kinda went with it to feel it out and honestly, the spacing worked out better on this neck with the Black Tusq nut LOL, so that was an added benefit. My intonation is superb now, too. I love it, this made me an instant fan. I'm totally gonna be rocking Tusq parts on every guitar from here out.
