Blades not affected by moisture
I have a screened in porch with an overhead fan. Wooden fan blades eventually droop with the ever present moisture of being "outside". Plastic blades are unaffected by moisture. I had to redrill two of the mounting holes to fit my fan's brackets, but holes are easy to drill in this material.
