Sculptors of Skagen
I had always noticed the timepieces of Skagen when perusing the objects of my small fetish.
I set out to find a men's watch that was spare--
a timeless watch, if you will, one that could peek out from the arm of a suit as easily as ring my wrist in a t-shirt. Skagen caught my eye. I fell for them. I would Google-image the all-gold model with no second hand or numbers or anything- just the hands on a face of simple hash lines.
It is a piece of sculpture. Every minute detail of the case and the bezel, the strap lugs and even the strap itself are formed with superlative care. Each point is a concern for the designers of this Danish firm, that not only lives up to the reputation of the Danish modernists- but extends that reknown. Did I mention how thin these watches are? I find myself staring at my own wrist. I have had it for two weeks and at least four friends have said "What a lovely watch!". My friends don't tend to notice things like that.

Movie viewer
I got the galaxy tab a almost entirely for watching movies. The image is clear and sharp. However, the speakers are on the bottom and when held horizontally produce sound only on one side. My iphone sounds better because of its stereo configuration. Had I known, I doubt I would have chosen it. It was cheap so I’ll live with it but a bit of a disappointment.
