backup cell
this a low cost cell that i picked up until i find the one that meets my personal needs. simple text messages only is limited. perfect for a young child of 10 - 14yrs. to control account feeds. i need a better signal because of the areas i work in. heavy transformers & electrical workers around my areas. it could work excellent for you. the price is right. its small and light weight. it has a built in flash light. finding the on switch is tricky. i will give it a average rating. for kids ans personal who don't use cellphone that offen. it might fit the bill.

vivitar 283 flash
the best flash for the money spended when it came to the market. simple to use. a great workhorse for any camera system. Bracket over and under by half to a ful stop and you got the shot you wanted. perfect for fill-in flash. the only weakness is the shoe. it eventual cracked or snapped off a piece. replacing the shoes was easy, given the shoe options. replacements shoes came in stardard vivitar shoe or the replacement metal shoe by hollis ( nice up grade ) the only short coming was replacing the batterys if you forgot. a bounce card or a soft clear tisse over the head sweeten the lighting for a natural look with super soft shadows. this flash helped cut down the equipement that you had in your camera bag. carried more film, batterys & a good light meter. you were set to enjoy your day shooting about town. the next upgrade was the zoom head on the vivitar 285. with six of these flashes you could do studio shots with slaves units and the sb-4 power supply to replace the batterys. try this, they worked great with the open shutter on the camera at night for filling in detail on a long exposurer shot. good with b&w film for this trial.
