Star Wars BB-8 & R2-D2 1/12 scale plastic model

Awesome models, but not for little kids!

These are exceptionally well made kits that require no glue but go together perfectly and appear to make great reproductions of the actual droids from the movies. They are not toys to be played with like many action figures, but they are high quality plastic moulded kits made up of probably several hundred components that click together. You need a scapel with a sharp blade to remove parts from the sprue, but that seems to be about it, there is no noticeable flash at all - just crisp, precise parts. The plastic is precoloured so painting is not essential but it looks like a small amount of painting/lighting would make the jump from nice plastic model to superb, professional quality miniature. A great purchase if you like plastic models and I am very, very impressed.
