Device works, software does not. Be sure of your value before you buy. Have alternative software.available

The hardware works as advertised. The software, however, only worked on one video clip, then did not show any picture for more clips or more tapes. Turning off, reinstalling, repairing the install, rebooting, and nothing worked. Then, the software froze my computer and I had to turn orf the computer. luckily, I had downloaded a different software for editing previously digitized video, and it also could handle the feed from the VHS to digial converter device.
