How to Solve Word Problems in Algebra by Mildred Johnso
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this book because it contains easy to understand formulas for solving word problems (applications). Helps to isolate the important data and plug into the formula where needed. Gives simple examples. This is for people who are having difficulty with algebra and beginning learners. It's probably not for advanced classes, unless you require a review of the basics.
I saw the first edition of this book in the school's library and decided to buy one to keep at home for reference. Happy to discover it's been re-published. The first edition is great and the second edition is as good or better. This would be an excellent book to study while on summer vacation so that math skills are not lost. I only wish I'd met this book sooner. Like 40 years ago. It would have made a difference.
