The little accordion was so well packaged and protected both inside the case and outside in the shipping box. Far better than I expected. The Honer accordion is perfect for a very old box. It was well priced and I got a partial refund for shipping. It was as described and in excellent condition for being so old.

CRY "HUZZAH" CIVIL WAR
Even if one is a collector or reenactor of the this time period, there will be things discovered that were not known before. Easy to read & carry anywhere it is the best entertainment for any musician or historian to be found in so small a publication. It is in my violin case & there it will remain, ready to go with me everywhere & entertain me between gigs.

NOT SO FUN-DAMENTAL
The volume II Mike Marshall Mandolin Fundamental DVD is a very well directed, clear & concise approach to a certain level of mandolin by one of the nicest people in the mandolin world. That said, it might difficult to determine what level that would be as it races through everything w/ very little written direction. While the camera angles are great unfortunately, technical problems abound as the left hand technique is constantly at war with the right hand demonstrating more what not to do than how to move efficiently along the fingerboard while inverting chords. (At point the teacher admits his fingers being too large for the narrow spacing of his instrument). This is a very nice DVD to watch early in the morning with one's coffee if the viewer already knows how to play. I would not recommend this for a beginner/learner as it appears more like a college class in harmony & theory for bluegrass players that are not interested to read music or develop a serious technique. The DVD would have benefited for better script with a stronger scholastic approach with an included text or CD ROM print out.

AUTHENTIC ROMANTIC GYPSY MUSIC.
This is a very old style, collection of authentic romantic, European Gypsy music, which includes gypsy songs from the Balkans & Russia. The sound is very 1930s before WWII. I began listening to the music of Zoltan in the 1970s on vinyl & continue to do so to this day. If you were to purchase only one gypsy CD in your lifetime, this would be it. I truly recommend it.
