Was concerned for a moment when unit would not power up via USB C to update it, no matter what cable or adapter was used. Found I need to plug into my car's OBDII port first, go though setup, skip wifi setup in my case. After setup was completed, THEN I could power the unit only with USB C just fine and updated it in my home within wifi range. I can see why some people thought their unit was "faulty" with no boot issues. Might be a bug, but it's working now, so I'm happy.
