Great socket 478 board, loads of useable features. RAID for the SATA ports & the PATA ports. Board is very durable & long lasting, like all ASUS boards.
This would make a ideal home sever board. These boards still command good prices second hand as they are one of the best if not the best of the socket 478 boards. Had mine for years, never missed a beat in that time. Pair this with a good CPU and you cant go wrong. Just make sure you fit a good heatsink to the CPU as the prescott cores produce lots of heat and need to be kept cool.
You can even overclock them with this boad, had my 2.8 precott CPU running at 3.2 GHZ for ages (max CPU temp was about 60 degrees under full load)
Just make sure you keep the temps down on the CPU & inside of your computer case and you wont go wrong.
This board runs XP no problems & will even run Vista comfortably (not tested it with w7)
