Decent for the money
2 of 2 found this helpful First and foremost, the ViewSonic VA1912wb is a solid buy for the money. It can often be purchased new for under $200 which (as of the time of writing of this review - April 2007) isn't to bad for a 19" widescreen LCD.
The brightness and viewing angle are very good, and the colors (especially when calibrated with something like the Spyder2) are vibrant.
It comes with a pair of speakers at the bottom. Not only are these speakers terrible, but they add an extra inch or so to the bottom of the display. This is the only real negative I've found in the 5 months that I've used this monitor as a secondary screen.

Great if you can find them for sale.

It's incredibly bright, can be viewed from any angle, and is super sharp. I've had absolutley no problems with the monitor. I use it EVERY DAY, nearly all day as my primary monitor. I'm running at 1280x1024. I have it calibrated to my other monitors using the Spyder2 calibrator. Just great. I'd buy another in a second. Discontinued though.
